Mi welaf Sinai mygu a gwgu ar y gwan

(Sinai a Chalfaria)
Mi welaf Sinai mygu,
    a gwgu ar y gwan;
Fe ganwyd ffordd i fywyd,
    am enyd yn mhob man!
  Ond bryn Calfaria welaf
      yn uchaf îs y nèn,
  Yn cludo myrdd o'r gweryd
      i wynfyd nefoedd wèn.

Mae'r ddeddf yn gwaeddi "melldith;"
    nid "bendith" uwch y byd,
A hyny mewn modd cyfiawn,
    byth, am ei warthlawn wŷd;
  Try'r olwg trwy'r Eiriolwr -
      gras i droseddwr sydd,
  A nefoedd bur oleuwen,
     i bawb o berchen ffydd.
Robert Jones (Bardd Mawddach)

[Mesur: 7676D]

(Sinai and Calvary)
I see Sinai smoking,
    and frowning upon the weak;
A road to life was born,
    for a short while everywhere!
  But the hill of Calvary I see
      higher under the sky,
  Conveying a myriad from the grave
      to the blessedness of bright heaven.

The law is shouting "damnation;"
    not "blessing" above the world,
And that in righteous way,
    forever, for its disgraceful condition;
  The gaze of the Mediator turns -
      which is grace for transgressors,
  And pure, bright, light heaven,
      for everyone who possesses faith.
